GPS & fish finder fitting

Chartplotters, transducers, and fish finders fitted, networked, and tuned so the data on the helm is clean, accurate, and actually useful.

Overview

A plotter is only as good as its install.

A modern plotter or fish finder will only deliver if its install is right. Transducer position, cable runs, network setup, GPS antenna placement, and power supply all change what you see on screen. Get any of them wrong and the picture is noisy, the speed is off, or the depth drops out at speed.

We fit and network marine electronics across the main brands: Garmin, Raymarine, Lowrance, Simrad, B&G. NMEA 2000 backbones built properly, with terminators in the right places and power injected where it is needed.

Where existing kit can be reused or extended, that is what happens. Where the network has been bodged together over time, it gets sorted out so future additions are simple.

What's included

What an electronics fit includes.

  • Helm layout planning so screens and controls are usable underway
  • Transducer selection and siting for clean returns at speed
  • GPS antenna placement away from interference
  • NMEA 2000 backbone, drops, terminators, and power
  • Power supply: dedicated breaker, fused, with proper grounding
  • Software setup: depth alarms, waypoints, charts, sensor calibration
  • Integration with existing autopilot, AIS, VHF, and engine data
  • Walkthrough so you know how to use what is now fitted

Process

How an electronics fit runs.

  1. Brief

What you want on the helm, what you already have, and what you actually use the boat for.

  2. Spec and quote

Kit selected from across the brands, not pushed from one. Quote covers parts, mounting, and integration.

  3. Install

Helm cuts done cleanly, cables run out of sight, network built right.

  4. Set up and walkthrough

Software configured, sensors calibrated, and you get a hands-on brief on the kit.

  • City & Guilds qualified

Properly trained marine engineering, not handyman improvisation.

  • Mobile to your mooring

Work happens at your boat wherever possible, saving time and hassle.

  • Breakdown callouts

Stuck on the water? Get in touch and a callout can be arranged.

  • Fully insured

Public liability cover in place for every job, on every boat.
